Wall of Water

What might appear at first glance to be a painter putting the finishing touches on a mural of a giant wall of water, was in fact a photographer with tripod adjusting his camera toward the waves of Lake Michigan, catching the last bit of twilight on the water after the sun had set. I preferred the look of black and white to emphasize the contrast of the deep shadows for this photo which I took tonight at Tunnel Park in Holland, Michigan.

Gathering of Cranes

This is a short video I took from a recent early morning visit to Indiana’s Jasper Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area. Deer walk in the same field that thousands of Sandhill Cranes gather in before their southward migration.
