Indiana Spring

I found this flower growing on the forest floor of the Potato Creek State Park in Indiana today. With temperatures over 80 degrees, there were many wild flowers starting to bloom.

How beautiful… 80 degrees is quite warm – about 26.5 celsius which will be our temp today in my part of Australia. We are just going into our Autumn (which I love) because of the warmth with a subtle hint of coolness in the air. Enjoy your Spring; it should bring some wonderful photo opportunities.
I am living vicariously through your photos. We had 2 ft of snow this past weekend.
Beautiful flower and good picture!
I love how the leaves are still curled protectively around the stem. Great photo, as always!
Simply lovely!
Gorgeous image!
Looks like bloodroot from the picture.
I live in northern IL and spring is happening so fast here too. Everything is popping out at the same time… I missed the bloodroot this year so I was glad to see your picture!
