This stand of tall trees were lit up by a West Michigan sunset today. They seemed to glow an incredible scarlet for about a minute or so before fading. The photo is exactly as it looked to the unaided eye.

That is spectacular.
I was so upset the other evening, I was doing laundry at the time of that magnificent sunset. I didn’t know anything about it until the next morning when it was all over the news. How disappointed I was, something so beautiful and I was folding underwear. You captured it perfectly.

Lucky you, Jeffrey, to be there at exactly the right moment. I appreciate many photos that are “touched up” by the photographer to create effect, but to see one so beautiful that is completely as it appeared at the moment is terrific.
