Autumn in the Country

I live in an area that has a variety of beautiful picturesque country scenes. I ran across this one recently as the leaves of the surrounding trees had changed color.

Color in the North

Fall color in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is always a pleasure to see. I found this scene with a nice dark sky as a backdrop to help set off the colors even more.

There’s something special and wonderful about dusk in Michigan during Autumn. I found this scene on a waterway in the Upper Peninsula.

Nature’s Art

I’ve had several requests for prints from visitors  since I began posting my outdoor and nature photography. I have uploaded them to

where they can be ordered. If you have a favorite image I haven’t uploaded there, just let me know and I’ll be sure to add it to those you can order. Thanks for visiting!

Feathered Swan

I liked the way the light interplayed with shadow showing the details in this Trumpeter Swan’s white feathers. I found it at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary near Kalamazoo, Michigan last Autumn.

I found this area on a nearby Michigan farm with golden colored rows in the foreground and interesting clouds coming in from the west.

Colorful Landscape

I found this colorful wetland landscape last Autumn in Southwest, Michigan. A Canada Goose can be seen swimming in the still waters on the lower left of the image.

As I photographed the sun among the clouds recently, I thought of it as a landscape in the sky, hence the title “Skyscape”.
