Here is a close up photo I took today of a turtle in Muskegon, Michigan going through a sandy area. It was approximately one foot in length, but I’m not sure what type of turtle it was. Below is an overall shot showing its shell and markings on its neck.

I found this painted turtle today sunning itself on a log at the Stu Visser Trails Natural Area in Holland, Michigan. It’s reflection made for a nice addition to the composition.
